What Is It?

Content Samurai is a video creation tool from the team that brought us Market Samurai(Market Samurai was actually my very first Internet Marketing purchase so it has a dear place in my heart.)

The app lets you create text-based sales videos all in your browser.

If you’re unfamiliar with what that is here’s a quick rundown:

It’s a video of slides with text and images on them that usually has a voice-over.

The slides look like this: (Click on them to get the bigger versions)

The Review

I already wrote a pretty detailed review with a video on this site, but I’m still going to make this review as detailed as I can.

I first created this review in 2015 which is when Content Samurai was released, but I updated it twice since then. (The most recent update was in March of 2017.)

  • The Good
  • Easy to use
  • 20 free sound-tracks worth $39.95 each
  • 50 different slide themes
  • Audio recording is very simple
  • Everything is done in the cloud
  • Easy acknowledgments for CC images used in your video
  • Can insert your own videos between, before, and after text slides.
  • The Bad
  • Can’t edit the audio quality online, so if your microphone isn’t great, you gotta fix it after creating the video. However, you can also record audio, edit it with Audacity and then upload it which makes it easier.
  • It’s not a one and done deal. You have to pay monthly.

If you want to see the software in action I have a video review that you might find useful:
